Joanna Vasquez
Data Technologist
Joanna Vasquez is a career data technologist, Air Force veteran, and 19-year member of the United States Department of Defense and the
defense industry, working in support of national security objectives.
Committed to public service and continued education, she achieved an A.S in Arabic Language and received her B.S in Political Science from Troy University while serving in the military. She is a graduate of accelerated software engineering and data science courses in addition to numerous US military courses.
Joanna holds a deep respect for the agricultural and farm-worker community in the United States. Raised in the central California valley, Joanna was surrounded by agriculture as the major source of employment for immigrant and first- generation Hispanic American families. The lessons of hard work, exercising resilience when working in extreme weather conditions and pride in production which did not consider gender and socio-economic status were major influences in her adult life.
Beyond her career in data and AI, Joanna is an avid traveler and humanitarian, involved in refugee resettlement eRorts and volunteering with organizations aiming to combat homelessness and food insecurity in the greater Washington D.C area.
